Hiiii Glow crew! Happy Sunday. There are so many fun things happening in the Glow industry right now. Big themes I’m seeing are still menopause / peri menopause getting massive air time, convergence of beauty and wellness and the shift in focus from lifespan to healthspan.

Below, you’ll see an interview with Tracy Anderson where she gives another marker of health she’s calling movementspan! I’d never heard this word before but I think its worth considering when we talk about the markers of health as we age. While undefined by Anderson, I took this term to mean the years we can move our bodies with strength, control, and freedom. A long movementspan doesn’t just happen, you have to want it and then work for it and THEN keep working to maintain it.

Enjoy today’s edition of The Glow Report!

Culture, Campaigns and Buzzwords

LONGEVITY: Jennifer Aniston fronts Pvolve’s new campaign for their Longevity bundle. In this People article, she talks about the campaign and how her relationship with exercise and her body has changed over the years.

THE EVERYDAY ATHLETE: In the past, we mostly only glorified the ‘elites,’ from Olympians to professional athletes. But now, the focus is shifting to the busy moms, underdogs and avg person running her first 10k. Brands are catching on!! If you pay attention, at the root of so many health and wellness campaigns today is trying to speak to the athlete in all of us. Check out this Women’s Health article.

WELLNESS AMBASSADOR: Kendall Jenner is Therabody’s newest ambassador. Jenner is fronting the launch of the TheraFace Mask Glo and signaling the brand’s expansion from recovery tools into beauty tech.

SUPPLEMENTS: NYT Well released an article called “A Plea From Doctors: Cool it on the Supplements,” where Drs warn that wellness supplements can do more harm than good and emphasize getting nutrients from whole foods instead.

SEXUAL HEALTH: Maven Clinic’s “Sex Ed, Rewind” pop-up called out how Gen Z is turning to TikTok for health education, often getting information that’s incomplete or misleading. The campaign used interactive stations and myth-busting games to reintroduce evidence-based sex ed in a format that speaks their language.
