Google and Flo Health have agreed to pay a combined $56 million to settle claims they improperly shared sensitive reproductive health data from Flo’s period-tracking app with third parties. The lawsuit, Frasco v. Flo Health Inc., alleged that user data—including cycle and pregnancy details—was transmitted to companies like Google and Meta without consent. While Google and Flo settled, Meta went to trial and was found liable under California’s privacy law.
